A group of activists have written a book called Tar Road Repair: A Journey through a Broken Road in Delhi, to raise awareness about road repair and the plight of women in the city.
The book has been launched by the Rohini Women’s Commission on Tuesday.
The group of women, who were involved in various protests against the construction of the Tar Road, have decided to write the book.
The activists have been fighting for women’s rights since the 1970s.
The book will also be published in a few weeks and will also focus on the social impact of the construction and the women’s experience of it, according to a statement issued by the organisation.
The authors of the book are Shyam Mehta, the daughter of a former police officer, and Pratyusha Singh, the mother of a victim of the Delhi riots.
