A new generation of lorrie trailers are hitting the market, but what exactly is it that makes them so special?

We’ve broken down the basics of lorry construction and installation to give you the information you need.
What is a lorry?
Lorries are the largest container ships used for shipping goods across Europe.
They’re usually constructed of wood, iron or concrete.
The main purpose of a lorrier is to move goods across the continent by sea.
Lorry companies typically employ hundreds of people to make the lorry.
The main parts of a truck are:The cab (front)Lorry cab (back)The axleThe drive trainThe cargo (or cargo box)A lorry is used for moving goods across a continent and has a total of 852,000 tonnes of goods.
That’s an average of about 18 tonnes per vehicle.
The biggest category of goods that a laurier can move are:• LNG (liquid petroleum gas)• Wood• Coal• Petroleum• Petroleum products• Foodstuff• Other fuel• Other goods• Other raw materials• Other waste• Other building materials• Bricks and mortar• Wood products• Cement• Metal• Aluminum• Other cement products• Concrete products• Other materialsThe most important things to know when you’re buying a lourry:• Where it’s builtThe construction process begins with the cabling that goes through the front of the truck to hold it together.
The cabling has a number of different elements:• The axle (also known as the “belly”)• The drive train• The cargo (also called the “towel”).• The load (also referred to as the truck’s load).• The length of the trailer’s track.
The axle of a tractor or other lorry has a specific diameter.
This determines how much space it takes to move the truck.
This varies by manufacturer, but most commonly the axle diameter is 3.5 metres.
The longer the axle is, the more space it can take.
For a typical 12-metre-long axle, that means an additional 5 metres of space.
A 16-metres axle can have a maximum of up to 25 metres of cargo space.
A lorrian’s cab, which holds the load, is made of steel, aluminium or concrete and has an axle diameter of up the length of its track.
The cab is typically designed with a lot of steel to give the truck maximum strength, while being lightweight.
The axle of the cab also has to be strong enough to handle a load of 1.8 tonnes, so it has to have a weight of at least 4 tonnes.
The cargo box is a piece of metal that holds everything else in the laurie.
The box is usually made of aluminium, but can be made of anything.
A box can be a plastic bag, a metal door, or even a glass container.
The container is the lourries cargo box.
The wheel of a conventional lorry can be either axles or wheels.
Axles are the main means of transporting goods across European borders.
Wheels are used for transporting the cargo and are generally more efficient, but they are not as stable.
The length of a standard road lorry, measuring 18 metres, is around 3.8 metres.
This is the same as a double cab, and is why it’s called a double-cab truck.
