A new, state-of-the-art road repair project on Oakland County Road 1 is finally nearing completion.
The first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed by late fall.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Office officials say they were able to complete the work with only about two weeks remaining in the project.
They say the road repair work will help with a $2 million deficit in the county budget.
The road was built in 1967.
It will be up to the City Council to decide if it needs to be rebuilt.
